“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear… For our transgressions are multiplied before The LORD, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and we know our iniquities: transgressing, and denying the LORD, and turning back from following our God…” (Ref. Isaiah 59:2-13)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

Let’s be honest. Some of us are obsessed with how we look to others. It is vitally important that we look as sexy, attractive and temptingly seductive as humanly possible. Some of us are taking our cues about our bodies, fashion and appearance from entertainers and performers who get paid to look a certain way or portray a certain persona or sell a particular product or image for profit.

Let’s be honest. Some of us are obsessed with worldly beauty and we do anything it takes to imitate the world. But we reject God’s definition of holiness, decency and purity. We call God’s Way plain, unattractive and undesirable.

Honestly speaking, we have no reason to get mad at God for rejecting our prayers or our pleas.

God did not reject us.

We rejected Him by embracing, celebrating and imitating the world.
