A new revelation just appeared to me inspired from a post on FaceBook.
Many people know about investing in stocks and bonds. They know about investing in venture capitals. But had you given any thought to investing in other people. This is the real challenge and it comes with no guarantees.
Jesus started out His earthly ministry by investing in about 70 souls who became his disciples but only twelve became his faithful followers and were invested with even more of Christ (Himself) and was appointed by Christ as His chosen apostles and one of them was the devil. (John 15)
I have been personally practicing the divine principle and charge of investing in the soul and spiritual development of others for a long time. I know that it will not always pay off and the harvest may not come in my earthly lifetime.
Jesus warns us that, “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies; it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24) And in addition to that bit of spiritual Truth, it is God who gives the increase to all divine investments and He does so in due season.
Investing into the lives of others isn’t cheap, comfortable or convenient. Nevertheless, those of us who are filled with The Spirit of Christ are encouraged and compelled to invest ourselves, our gifts, knowledge, experience, wisdom and strength into the lives of those who are seeking the Kingdom of God. In so doing, we imitate Christ.
By spending significant time with a willing person and teaching them through life-living examples as well of the taught anointed Word of God, we impact them and initiate a notable change and growth in their lives.
As in the case of Christ Jesus and His investment into the lives of His Apostle, He turned ordinary fisherman and tax collectors into outspoken and bold emissaries for the Kingdom of God and founders of His One True Church. Their transformation was so significant that the devil took notice. (Matthew 16:17-19)
Divine transformation is from Heaven and is not found in any earthly discipline or power. It cannot be attributed to one’s education, intelligence, wealth or Power. It is solely found in Christ. It is The Anointing that makes the difference and the devil knows it. In many cases, the power of Christ is almost always first perceived by the enemy.
“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” ~ Acts 4:13
If we invest Jesus Christ into the lives of others and entrust that investment to the Father’s care, then there should be some evidence of our investment in the lives of those whom we have invested in. Their faith becomes stronger. Their resolve becomes more steadfast and unmovable and their witness becomes more mature and bold.
