TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
If I shall speak with every human and Angelic language and have no love in me, I shall be clanging brass or a noise-making cymbal. (1 Corinthians 13:1)
It has been my observation that many so-called tongue speaking, Holy Spirit filled believers do a very good job of displaying love and charitable work to the outside world. They are most charitable in public – to be seen of men. However, many of these holier-than-thou tongue-talking Christians neglect to display and express love to their families with the same commitment that they do to the world.
They are hypocrites and liar.
Charity begins at home with the family.
You can’t say that you Love The Lord and see your brother or sister suffering in need and then turn a blind eye and a deaf ear and an empty hand to their needs and it be in your power and in your means to help them. To do so makes you are a liar and the TRUTH is not in you.
It is a sin and a shame for us to take the time, energy and resources that could alleviate some of the pain and suffering in our families and spend them on impressing the wicked and the ungodly who have rejected God and Christ.
1 John 3:17 indicates that those who do such things, as well as those who do not have pity on their brother or sister in need, don’t have the love of God abiding in him.
They are devoid of the divine Kindness, Generosity and Love of God. They are sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal; signifying nothing.
If you want to be known as a good Christian and a lover of God, first learn to love your family (mother, father, brothers and sisters) and your spiritual family of God (Fellow Saints). (Galatians 6:10 and 1 John 2:4)
Otherwise, you are worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8)
I am just trying to keep it REAL!
